Important: we provide educational information, not medical services. We are not a HIPAA-covered entity and don’t handle your information as a medical record. For health decisions, consult your professional.

2.What information we collect

What you give us

Account: email, password, and display name (if you create an account).
Starting quiz: your transition stage, health areas you care about, restrictions, and favorite dishes. These are answers you choose, not diagnoses.
Newsletter: your email, language, and where you subscribed.
Messages: what you write via the contact form.

Collected automatically

Site usage: pages viewed and actions (e.g. «recipe saved»), via cookieless analytics and without selling data to third parties.
Basic technical data needed for the site to work and be secure.

3.How we use your information

To show you recipes and content matching your stage and interests.
To send the newsletter, if you subscribed (cancel anytime).
To answer your messages and provide support.
To improve the site in aggregate (which content is useful).

We don’t use your data for third-party advertising, nor do we sell it.

4.Health data — we treat it as sensitive

The «areas you want to care for» (e.g. blood sugar/diabetes, heart) are sensitive personal information under laws like CCPA/CPRA. So:

We store them only with your explicit consent (a separate checkbox, never pre-checked).
We use them only to guide the content and tone of what you see and receive — not to diagnose anything.
You can delete them anytime, and we don’t share them raw with third parties (see §6).

You decide. You can use Platos Verdes without sharing health areas; personalization will simply be more general.

5.Cookies & analytics

We use analytics that doesn’t rely on tracking cookies and doesn’t build advertising profiles. We store some preferences in your browser (like your language or stage) in first-party storage. [Detail exact tools and consent-banner approach once defined.]

6.Who we share information with

We work with providers who help us operate, and give them only the minimum necessary:

Email/newsletter: our email provider receives your email and general tags (stage, language, motivation) — not the detail of your health areas.
